Experimental public service

Terms of use

These terms govern use of CVMewt Inc.'s public websites and hosted Checklist Assistant experiment. By using an interactive hosted feature, you agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to do so. If you do not agree, you may still read public pages and use separately distributed open-source software under its own license.

The current service

Checklist Assistant is an early public experiment, not a production private workspace. Local authoring can be used without an account. Signed-in prototype actions may share a server data set, and the service does not yet promise tenant isolation, private retention, continuous availability, paid fulfillment, or long-term preservation. The payment lab is visibly labeled Stripe test mode and does not charge money or grant paid access.

Your responsibilities

• Use the service lawfully and only with content and accounts you are authorized to use.
• Do not submit confidential, regulated, safety-critical, export-controlled, malicious, or client-owned information to the public prototype.
• Do not bypass access controls, probe other users' data, disrupt the service, distribute malware, automate abusive traffic, or misrepresent an experimental result as independently validated.
• Review generated or transformed procedures before relying on them. The public prototype is not certified for medical, nuclear, aviation, emergency, or other high-consequence work.

Your content and feedback

You retain rights you already hold in content you submit. You give CVMewt a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, process, and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the feature you chose. Because this is a shared public prototype, this license is not a confidentiality promise. Do not submit material that requires one.

If you voluntarily provide product feedback, you permit CVMewt to use it without restriction or payment, while personal information in the message remains covered by the privacy statement. This does not transfer ownership of separately submitted copyrighted content.

Accounts and external providers

You are responsible for your Google or Microsoft account and for activity performed through an authenticated CHAX session. CVMewt receives an identity assertion, not your provider password. Provider services remain governed by their own terms. We may revoke sessions or suspend access to protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with law, or discontinue the experiment.

Open-source software and marks

Source code distributed under an Apache, MIT, or other open-source license is governed by that license, not by these hosted-service terms. CVMewt, Checklist Assistant, CHAX, their logos, and related branding are not granted for use except as allowed by applicable law or written permission.

No warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the public service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, or preservation. Some jurisdictions do not allow every disclaimer, so mandatory rights remain unaffected.

Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVMewt and its officers, directors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profit, revenue, business, or goodwill arising from this free experimental service. CVMewt's aggregate liability for the hosted experiment will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid CVMewt for that service during the preceding twelve months or US $100. These limits do not apply where the law does not permit them.

Changes, termination, and law

We may change, suspend, or discontinue experimental features and may update these terms. Material changes apply prospectively after publication or other reasonable notice. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.

These terms are governed by Connecticut law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with lawful jurisdiction in Connecticut may hear disputes, subject to any non-waivable consumer forum rights.
